Greenville, SC

Mary Earline Mowen, of Greenville, wife of Ned W. Mowen, died Friday, December 2, 2011.

Born in Greenville, she was a daughter of the late T.C. and Clara Stansell Henderson.

Earline was a sales person for Belk-Simpson Co. retiring in 1997. She was a member of Reedy Fork Baptist Church, where she taught preschool Sunday school and to her little friends she was known as "Miss Earline".

Surviving in addition to her husband Ned of 71 years are her son and daughter in law, Tommy and Gail Mowen of Maudlin; grandsons, Jason Mowen and his wife Dawn of Tamassee, SC and Brett Mowen of Piedmont; great grand children, London, Jadon and Ireland Mowen. She is predeceased by her sisters Grace Mills and Lucy Bartucci and brother Bob Henderson.

Funeral services will be Sunday, December 4, 2011 at 3pm at Reedy Fork Baptist Church with Dr. Robert Whaley officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

The family will receive friends prior to the service at the church from 1:30 until 2:45.
