Edith B. Rollins of 1 Laurel Grove Drive, Simpsonville passed away on December 13, 2011.

She was born January 12, 1924 in Pickens County, and was the daughter of the late Leila & Harve Galloway. Edith was the widow of Arlin "Mutt" Rollins.

Edith was the former owner of Laurel Valley Lodge in Sunset and of the Baptist Faith.

She is survived by two daughters Ann (Joe) Phillips of Simpsonville; Jimmie Lou (Melvin) Alexander of Gaffney; and a son Ronald Burgess of Columbia; a sister Montine Coffey; a brother Edward Galloway; ten grandchildren; seventeen great grandchildren and sixteen great grand grandchildren.

Edith was also preceded in death by her first husband, James E. Burgess; three sisters and three brothers.

The family will be at the home of Dale & Janis McLees, 15 Fox Hunt Lane, Greer.

Graveside services will be conducted Thursday, December 15, 2011 at 3:30pm at Hillcrest Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends Thursday afternoon from 2 – 3:15pm at Dillard Funeral Home.

The family gives special thanks to Harmony Care Hospice for their tender care and loving support.
