The ocean stirs the heart, inspires the imagination and brings eternal joy to the soul.
One of the places Edith L. Baldelli loved most was to be by the ocean with the waves upon her feet. We now must trust and pray she has reached the other shore and enjoys the sweetness of peace and comfort. Edith passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, January 14, 2016. She was only 56.
Edith was born June 30, 1959 in Passiac, New Jersey, a daughter of Gizelle T. Maroti and the late Endre S. Maroti. She was raised and educated in Hudson, graduated from Hudson High School with the class of 1977.
She leaves her daughters, Jennifer R. Corriveau and her husband, Steve, of Shrewsbury and Stephany L. Baldelli of Clearwater, Florida; her longtime companion of 25 years, Larry D. Heindl of Upton; her mother, Gizelle T. Maroti of Largo, Florida; her grandchildren, Max K. Corriveau and Olivia M. Corriveau of Shrewsbury; her siblings, Edward L. Maroti and his wife, Dawn of Alva, Florida, Judith B. Maroti-Powell and her husband, Stephen of Shrewsbury and John B. Maroti of Girard, Ohio; also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Edith was a loving mother who devoted her life to raising her two daughters. She loved spending time with her family and adored being a grandmother to both Max and Olivia. She always enjoyed relaxing on the beaches of Cape Cod and on the sandy shores of Florida. Written by Suzy Toronto: "No words can express the depth of her contentment as she walks along the beach. As the waves lap against the shores they create the rhythm of her life. Balmy breezes kiss, her sun-bronzed skin and she wonders could there ever be a greater destiny, than to be born with a love for the treasures of the sea? Here, she is home."
Family and friends will honor and remember Edith's life by gathering on Tuesday, January 19, 2016 in Heald & Chiampa Funeral Directors ~ The Sumner House, 5 Church Road, On the Common, Shrewsbury Center where her Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Burial is private. There are no calling hours.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions in her name may be made to Shrewsbury Youth and Family Services, 240 Maple Avenue, Shrewsbury, MA 01545
