Edith E. Draper, 90, of North Kingstown died Saturday at the Chestnut Terrace Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in East Providence.
She was the daughter of the late Albert Aspen and Ruth E. (Downes) Aspen. She was the beloved wife of the late Harold J. Draper and the beloved mother of Albert J. Draper of East Providence and Peter E. Draper of Murfreesboro, Tennessee.
Edith was a 1938 graduate of Cumberland High School and a 1941 graduate of Rhode Island Hospital School of Nursing. Before retiring, she was employed as a Registered Nurse at Rhode Island Hospital, the former Lying-In Hospital and the Cumberland School Department. She was an accomplished cook, an avid reader and birdwatcher.
Her Funeral Service will be held Thursday, July 29, 2010 at Noon in the FAGAN-QUINN Funeral Home, 825 Boston Neck Road, North Kingstown. Burial will follow in RI Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Exeter. Visiting hours Thursday 10am-Noon.
