Edith Eylward 88, of Clearwater, Florida passed away peacefully on January 27,2012 under the care of Hospice and surrounded by her loving family.

She was born in Yalesville, Ct. and moved to Florida in 1965 where she retired from a Yacht company in 1989.

She was preceded in death by her parents Alfred & Phoebe Smith of Yalesville Ct, brothers George and Al Smith of Yalesville, Ct. a sister Lucy Cifone from Wallingford, Ct. and a sister Winifred Weston of Clearwater, Fl. She was also preceded in death by a son Thomas Eylward of Clearwater, Fl.

She is survived by sons Ed and Al Eylward of Clearwater, Florida a sister Shirley Carothers of Clearwater, Fl.several grand children and great grand children along with many nephews and nieces.

She will be dearly missed.

There will be a viewing at Sylvan Abbey on Friday the 3rd of February from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM and a Mass will be said at Good Samaritan Church on Saturday at 10:30 A.M. Internment will be in Sylvan Abbey Memorial Park following the Liturgy with refreshments being held in the Parish Hall following the cemetery.

Our hearts will be forever saddened by her absence.
