Edna M. Mathews, 91, passed away Friday, February 3, 2012 at Woodview Assisted Living in Fort Wayne. Born in Fort Wayne, IN, Edna worked as a Clerk with Keltsch Pharmacy for 10 years. She was a member of O.E.S. Chapter #514 Star of the East; Daughters of the Nile; and Treasurer of the Kern Valley Community Association. Surviving are her son, Fred (Janet) Mathews, Jr. of Fort Wayne, daughter, Debra (Bob) Kendall of Oswego, IL, 5 grandchildren 5 great grandchildren and sister, Gladys Schaefer of Fort Wayne. Edna was preceded in death by her husband, Fred Mathews, Sr. Service is 10:00 am, February 10, 2012 at D. O. McComb and Sons Maplewood Park Funeral Home, 4017 Maplecrest Road with Rev. Russ Abel officiating, calling 1 hour prior. Calling also 3-5 and 7-9pm Thursday at the funeral home with an Eastern Star service at 7pm. Entombment in Greenlawn Memorial Park, Fort Wayne, Indiana.
