Edna M. Curtis
Greenville – Edna Massingale Curtis, 78, widow of Guy Christie Curtis, passed from this life Tuesday, October 11, 2011 at Greenville Memorial Hospital.
Mrs. Curtis was born in Jackson County, NC daughter of the late D. M. and Essie Nicholson Massingale. Mrs. Curtis was retired from J. P. Stevens Company Monaghan Plant in Greenville and was a member of Holly Springs Baptist Church in Pickens.
Survivors include her daughter Wanda Aiken and Leogy of Penrose, NC, grandchildren Chris Aiken and Mamie of Brevard, NC and Aaron Aiken of Penrose, NC and a great granddaughter Addie Aiken in four weeks.
Mrs. Curtis was preceded in death by nine brothers and sisters and she was the last surviving member of her immediate family.
Funeral services will be conducted 11 AM Friday, October 14, 2011 in the chapel of Dillard Funeral Home with the Reverend Tommy Hayes and the Reverend Chester Chappell officiating. Burial will follow at Holly Springs Baptist Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 PM Thursday at Dillard Funeral Home in Pickens.
