Edna’s life began on March 9, 1960 in Hazard, KY, the daughter of Alex and Alice (Mack) New.
She worked as a social worker for the Homeless Shelter of Decatur.
Her loving family includes her children Belinda Sanchez of Lawrence, Jose Frias of Decatur, and Jeremy Morales of Decatur, sister Evelyn (Dale) Avery of Decatur, grandson Blayd Stevens of Lawrence and special friend Tina Jimenez of Decatur.
Edna passed away at her home on Thursday October 29, 2009.
She is preceded in death by her parents.
Edna’s family will receive friends on Tuesday from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. at McLauchlin-Clark Funeral Home where her funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday led by Pastor Mike Heflin. She will be laid to rest in Lakeside Cemetery in Decatur at a later date.
Memorial contributions in Edna’s name may be directed to the family in care of Belinda.
