Edward A. Tinkel passed away on Saturday, January 28, 2012 at the age of 89. He was born in Bluffton, Indiana on June 22, 1922. Ed met his future wife, Thelma DeLong, at the Ft. Wayne Children's Home, where they both resided. They were married in 1943. Ed joined the USAF and was a member of the Air Force Band. Ed is survived by his three sons, Eddie (Barb), Ray (Marcia), Kenny (Sheila), brother, Max (Ada), niece, Ruthie, 7 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
