Edward C. Breaux passed away on Sunday, February 5, 2012, at the age of 59 surrounded by his wife of 35 years and some of his very best friends on the Cayamo music cruise. Beloved husband of Suzanne Landry Breaux. Ed is also survived by his daughters, Carrie Ann Breaux and Casey Leigh Breaux; father, Warren G. Breaux, Sr.; siblings, Warren G. Breaux, Jr. (Gayle), Barbara B. Cardella, (Russell) and Brian W. Breaux (Jackie) as well as many nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his mother, Norma Tschirn Breaux.
Ed was born in New Orleans and resided in Katy, TX for the past 12 years. He worked in the I.T. industry for 35 years, serving Entergy Corp. in New Orleans and most currently BMC Software in Houston. Ed's passion for family, friends, music, and football was unmatched and impossible to measure. Everyone Ed touched will remember him, as he was unique and loved by everyone. The Jazzfest and many other events and trips he organized will never be the same for those who followed Ed's lead. He was a devoted husband, father, and friend and will be truly missed by all.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Celebration of Ed's Life at LAKE LAWN METAIRIE FUNERAL HOME, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd. from 12:30 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 11, 2012.
