Edward John Cordon, Jr., 76, of Benton, AR, passed away Tuesday, August 11, 2009. He was born August 3, 1933, in Little Rock, to the late Edward John Cordon, Sr. and Grace Irvin Cordon. Edward was a pilot and enjoyed airplanes and motorcycles. He was in the office machine business for over 50 years. During that time, he owned Acme Business Machines for nearly 40 years. He was a member of Mabelvale Cutoff Church of Christ.

In addition to his parents, Edward was preceded in death by two brothers, Harry and Charles Cordon; and his first wife, Rose Lee Cordon. Survivors include his wife of 35 years, Jacquelyn Cordon; two daughters, Karen Austin (Lynn) and Kelly Bowen (Scott); four step children, Sandra Spann (Jimmy), Carla Arey (Mike), Angela Speck (Scott) and Donald Ferguson; one sister, Shirley Everhart (Kyle); three half sisters, Marie Vann, Dionne Pickens, Sharon Sukeforth; one step sister, Linda Robinson; eleven grandchildren, Michelle, Lou Anne, Matthew, Michael, Daniel, Caleb, Jacob, Emma, Donald, Drew and Krystle; and five great grandchildren.

Visitation will be held from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Thursday, August 13, 2009, at Griffin Leggett Forest Hills, Funeral Home, 10200 Hwy 5 North, Alexander, AR. Funeral services will be held at 12:30 PM on Friday, August 14, 2009, at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Pinecrest Memorial Park.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Saline Memorial Hospice House, 23157 Hwy I-30, Bryant, AR 72022.
