WALDE, EDWARD WILLIAM
Age 86 of Albuquerque passed into our Heavenly Father's arms on November 14, 2011. He was born to the late Lillian (Ruberg) and Bill Walde on July 27, 1925, in the East Boyer Township of Crawford County, Iowa. He attended the East Boyer Township School #8 until he was required to work the farm. To his credit, he received his GED with honors in 1992. He was baptized and confirmed into the Zion Lutheran Church in Denison Iowa. Ed has been a resident of the Albuquerque area since 1970. He was a paint contractor and enjoyed giving his time to help others. He served his community on the Graffiti Task Force and Meals on Wheels. He was the past president of Duke City Singles Square Dance Club as well as a member and past Board of Trustees of the Asbury United Methodist Church. As a self proclaimed tennis pro, Ed enjoyed challenging others to a tennis match or a game of cards. He was happiest making memories with his family and friends and his humor will be sorely missed. Ed is survived by best friend and wife, Joan Fuller Walde. They recently celebrated their twentieth wedding anniversary. Ed is also survived by his four daughters and son: Karen and husband, Ron Keyworth; Deb and husband, Ken Garber; Judi and husband, Kel Gillham; Janet and husband Rosendo Griego; and son, Steve, and Anita Walde. His blended sons and daughters are Larry and Roene Fuller, John and Barbara Fuller, Diana and Tom Boyd. He is survived by 22 grandchildren: Santos Trujillo, Chad Walde, Penny Lenz, Nicole Barker, Nathan Deterding, Christopher Garber, Heather Jackson, Melissa Osai, Leah Frazier, Daniel Griego, Erin Gillham, Kris Gillham, Kelvin Walde, Samantha Sebranek, Lance Cleveland, Shane Cleveland, Troy Fuller, Jody Fuller, Adam Fuller, Benjamin Fuller, Daniel Fuller, Michael Fuller, and 28 Great Grandchildren. He is survived by his siblings Raymond Walde and wife Clara; Ruby Jahn and husband Paul; Wilma Walde; Leonard Walde and wife Shirley; Lillian and husband Arden Fastenau; Gladys and husband Phil Hagny; Marilyn and husband Max Yoakum; Marlene Brudenell; and sister-in-law, Leona Walde. Edward is predeceased by his daughter, Linda Walde; brothers, Virgil and Walter Walde; sisters, LaDonna Walde and Helen Heinze; sisters-in-law, Vi Walde and Ruth Walde. Services will be held at Asbury United Methodist at 10,000 Candelaria NE, Saturday, November 19, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers the family has requested that donations be made to Meals on Wheels www.mow-nm.org. or P.O.
