Mr. Edward Gastelum

Eddie was the perfect Father-in-law. In the 45 years that we have been in each others lives we have never argued or been uncomfortable with each other.
Though Eddie was a very frugal man (some might even say cheap) there were many times over the years that he was there for us when we needed any kind of help financial or other wise.
Eddie had a special bond with my Grandson Kaiden. They were great buddies and both shared a love of donuts. Ed called him cyclone because he was constantly on the move but he got the biggest kick out him and I will remind him often of how much his Great Grandpa loved him.
I was so lucky to have him as a Father-in-law and he will live in my heart forever.

Everytime John called, Grandpa Ed would say "Hi grandson..." and preceeds to chuckle. We will miss your laugh! We miss you grandpa/Great grandpa! Asa "I miss my great grandpa. He is in heaven."

Ed and Dad were 2 very unlikely buddies, Dad the ever comedian that seemed to have trouble in completing the joke by flubbing up the punch-line but it always seemed to resonate with Ed because he always seemed "get" the joke with or without that "ever loving" punch-line and would always laugh the loudest. These 2 guys loved each other so much and really enjoyed spending time together on the golf course or just lounging in the patio and they both had a way of making each other laugh. When Dad left us we had Ed and when he was around it was like Dad was there too, we miss our Dad and we will miss Ed just as much! Miss you Ed, and Love You!

After my picture was taken with him, he looked at the picture and said " well, I see a tall good looking guy.......and you" :) He will be missed.
