Mr. Edward Grego

Edward L. Grego, 77, a long time resident of Monterey Park, passed away on 12/15/11. He was born in South Gate, CA. on January 5th, 1934. Edward graduated from Montebello High School. Following graduation he enlisted in the U.S. Army and served in Germany as a mechanic specialist. Upon returning, he married his high school sweetheart, Rosie. Ed and Rosie were married for 55 years. Edward helped run and eventually took over the family business. Later in life he went to work for Deluxe Laboratories, as a cine-technician, and retired in 1997. He was a devoted son, brother, husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, uncle and friend. He enjoyed time with family and friends. He loved to attend his granchildren's school and sports activities, loved to laugh and enjoyed making others laugh.

Edward is preceded in death by his parents, Edward and Anna Grego; sisters, Marie and Annunciata. He is survived by his wife, Rosemary, son Michael (Michele) and daughters, Gina (Kevin) and Michelle (Jeff); sister Gilda; grandchildren Tianna (Tommy), Nicole (Doug), Chase, Angelina and Zack; great-grandson Trent and countless cousins, nieces and nephews.

Those who wish may send a Mass card or make a contribution in Edward's memory to the City of Hope or American Heart Association in Lieu of flowers.
