Edward L. 'Buddy' Erwin February 12, 1924 – January 20, 2012 Edward L. 'Buddy' Erwin passed away January 20, 2012 at Providence Hospital. Services will be 1:30 p.m., Monday, January 23, at Central United Methodist Church lead by Pastor Brad Brittain. Burial will follow at Waco Memorial Park. Visitation will be 5:00 – 7:00 p.m., Sunday, January 22, at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey. Buddy was born in Denton County, Texas, to Jack and Myrtle Erwin on February 12, 1924. He attended schools at Valley Mills and Moody. He served in the Army Air Corps during World War II, stationed in France and England from 1943 – 1945. He married Dorothy Judd on December 21, 1946. Buddy worked at the US Post Office for 37 years, retiring in 1985. He was a member of Samaritan Sunday School Class of Central United Methodist Churah, where he served as secretary. He loved to spend time with his grandchildren and watch them play sports. His hobbies were to work in his yard and garden, deliver meals on wheels, and play dominos and cards with other church members and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents; his son, Steve; and his two brothers, Howard and Bobby. He is survived by his wife, Dorothy; daughter, Kathy and husband, Mark Kutscherousky; two sisters, Maxine Prescher and Virginia Bryant and her husband, Jimmy; four grandchildren, Hillary Erwin, Mitchell, Jonathan, and Jordan Kutscherousky and fiancée, Kendra Hill. Memorials may be made to Providence Hospice, Central United Methodist Church, Meals on Wheels (his favorite charity) or the charity of your choice.
