Edward L. Ford, 71, of Ft. Wayne passed away Thursday, December 15, 2011 at Parkview Memorial Hospital. Born in Fort Wayne, Ed served in the Army and worked at Wayne Metals, retiring in 2000. After Ed retired, he continued to work at IAA until June of 2011. He is survived by his wife of 35 years, Doris Ford; daughter, Terry (Mathew) Perry of Fort Wayne; grandchildren, Mathew (Roxie) Perry and Beverly (Mike Wiley) Perry both of Ft. Wayne; great-granddaughter, Caroline; sister, Lois (Richard) Smith of Huntertown; and brother, Frank (Nope) Ford of Bangkok. Ed was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Evelyn; son, Victor; sister, Alice Ramey; and brother, James. Service is 10 am Monday, December 19, 2011 at D.O. McComb and Sons Lakeside Park Funeral Home, 1140 Lake Avenue with calling one hour prior. Calling also from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 pm Sunday at the funeral home.
