Edward Robert Lutkowski, age 62, of Dalton, passed away Tuesday morning at the VA Medical Center in Wilkes Barre. His wife, Linda Williams Lutkowski, preceded him in death on January 11, 2000. Born in Taylor on May 13, 1949, he was the son of Maryann Lutkowski Jones-Ware of Clarks Summit and the late Edward Lutkowski. A graduate of Riverside Highschool where he played football, he was a driver for N.F.I., New Jersey, prior to retirement. A member of the Trinity Congregational Church in West Scranton and a Marine Corps. Veteran of the Vietnam War, his favorite pasttimes included fishing. He is survived by his two daughters, Melissa Loring and husband Jeremy, with whom he resided, and Sarah Lutkowski of San Antonio, Texas; a step-father, Sgt. Harry Ware, Sr., of Clarks Summit; a brother, Thomas Lutkowski and wife Doreen of Taylor; a step-brother, Harry Ware, Jr., and wife Nancy of Dalton; two step-sisters, Kris Rhodes and husband Bob of Newton-Ransom and Joan Hess and husband Jimmy of Factoryville; and three grandchildren, Caitlyn, Ethan and Bella Loring. A son, Edward, also preceded in death. Funeral services to be conducted by Rev. Frank Andrews Shimkus, Pastor of the Trinity Congregational Church, are scheduled for Friday at 11:00AM in the Thomas P. Kearney Funeral Home, Inc., 517 North Main Street, Old Forge. Interment will follow in the Washburn Street Cemetery, West Scranton. Relatives and friends may pay their respects on Thursday between 4-7:00PM at the funeral home.
