Edward "Daddy-O" Wilfong, 85 of Morristown passed away Saturday April 11th at home.
Born in Hickory, Catawba County, NC. On Friday April 4, 1924 he was the son of the late Jincie Wilfong. He came to Morristown as a youth, were he resided until his death. Edward was retired from the Whippany Paper Board where he was employed for many years. He was also an accomplished horse trainer and was well traveled in the equestrian industry. He served his country in the United States Army.
Edward, affectionately known as Daddy-O was married to the late Ruth (Jones) who predeceased him.
He is survived by his children Gayle Wilkerson, Charles Wilfong and Michelle Bass all20of Morristown. His grandchildren Jonathan Wilkerson of Scotrun, PA, Johnny James Wilkerson Jr. of Greensboro, NC., Tyrell Davis, Miles and Kevin Bass all of Morristown. Great grand children Jazmin and Aaron Wilkerson of Greensboro, NC. Isaiah and Ciera Wilkerson of Scotrun, PA.. He is also survived by host of cousins, nieces, nephews and friends. He was predeceased by his brother Robert.
