Edward P. Wimberly, known by friends and family as Stein, was born in Paterson, New Jersey on November 30, 1938 to the late Merritt Wimberly, Sr. and Ruth (Bates) Wimberly. He received his education in the Paterson Public School System. He was employed by The North Jersey Development Center for many years until his retirement. He was a Vietnam Veteran of The U.S. Army. He was honorably discharged. He departed this life on Thursday, January 28, 2010. He was predeceased by three brothers, Merritt Jr., Nathaniel and James. He leaves to cherish his memory two brothers, Hayward of Paterson, NJ and Theodore of Whiting, NJ; two sisters, Lillian Keith and Alice Wimberly, both of Columbia SC; three sisters-in-law Laddie Wimberly of Lavern, CA, Florine Wimberly of Paterson, NJ and Shirley Wimberly of Maryland; one aunt, Dolly Wimberly of NY. two devoted cousins, Mary Tours and Henry Wimberly of Paterson, NJ; four devoted nieces, Joannie Bates of Columbia SC, Sebrena Johnson of CA, Tamara Brown of Paterson, NJ and Debra Wimberly of Maryland;and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
