MILLERSBURG- Edwin L. Novinger, age 88, passed away on Thursday, May 19, 2011 at the Manor At Susquehanna Village. He was born in Rife, PA, the son of the late Walter E. and Edna R. E. Cooper Novinger. He was a veteran of the US Army during WW II. He was retired from the Reading Railroad and a member of Zion Lutheran Church in Rife, American Legion #326 and VFW Post #5507. He was the widower of Arlene Keister Novinger and also preceded in death by two brothers Albert and Donald and a sister Florence Patton. Surviving are three sons Kenneth and his wife Barbara and Lynn and his wife Ann both of Falling Waters, WV, David and his wife Audrey of Elizabethville, a daughter Elaine Novinger of Halifax, two brothers Jacob and Monroe and a sister Sara Crist all of Millersburg, Grandchildren Stacey Novinger, Kimberly Kulp, Jarrett Novinger, Wesley Novinger, Shelly Spotts, Jennifer Novinger, Angela Michaels, Gregory Leiter, Leann Leiter, Katelyn Novinger, Great grandchildren Kori Novinger, Katie and Ty Coleman, Ashton Snyder, Jamie Spotts, Alexa Michaels, Conner Novinger and Mitchell Kulp. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, May 24, 2011 from 10:30-11:30 am at Zion Lutheran Church in Rife. Services will begin at 11:30 am. Burial with military honors will be in the church cemetery. Donations can be made to Zion Lutheran Church PO Box 331 Millersburg, PA 17061. Arrangements by Hoover-Boyer Funeral Home in Millersburg.
