JAQUA, EDWIN STANTON, II
A resident of Corrales, NM, passed away Tuesday, January 24, 2012. He was born on October 15, 1934 in Winchester, Indiana. He was the son of George W. and Evelyn H. Jaqua. He graduated from Choate Preparatory School in Wallingford, CT and from Colgate University in Hamilton, New York with a degree in Psychology. He married Nancy Anna Huff of Boerne, Texas on June 6th, 1959. They were married nearly 50 years before her death in 2009. Ed brought his family to New Mexico in June, 1964. His career was spent in the Human Resources field in several industries including Grocery and Banking. He was active in his community and served on several boards including the Chaparral Girl Scout Council, the New Mexico Personnel Association, United Way and Menaul School. Ed is survived by his son David Arleigh Jaqua of Albuquerque, NM, daughter Suzanne Marie Jaqua of Albuquerque, NM, sister Elizabeth Anne Taylor or Brevard, NC, several nieces and nephews, and his "granddogs", Ziegler and Gus. A memorial service will be held at a later date in Boerne, Texas. The family would like to thank the dedicated professionals of Heritage Home Healthcare and Hospice as well as Dr. Amine Temmar and his excellent staff for the care and comfort they provided. Those wishing to make charitable contributions in his memory may do so to the Animal Humane Association of New Mexico or the Pulmonary Fibrosis Foundation.
