Eileen (Downing) McGaughey, Of Framingham, formerly of Cambridge passed away on January 14, 2010 at the age of 85. She was the beloved wife of the late Robert H. McGaughey, who died in 2002.
Born in Somerville, Massachusetts, she was the daughter of the late Bartholomew & Nellie Downing. She was the devoted mother of Robert & Irina McGaughey of Portland, OR; James & Deborah McGaughey of Ashland; and Anne & James Gregory of Millis. Beloved grandmother of James & Jennifer Gregory and Tanya & Cassie McGaughey. Sister of Mary Cassidy of Watertown and the late Anne Sullivan.
Her funeral will be held from the Stanton Funeral Home, 786 Mount Auburn Street (Route 16), Watertown on Tuesday January 19, 2010 at 9:00 AM. Funeral Mass in the Sacred Heart Church, Watertown at 10:00 AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours will take place on Monday January 18, 2010 from 4:00 to 8:00 PM. Interment to follow in Cambridge Cemetery.
Mrs. McGaughey was a member of both the North Cambridge and Watertown Senior Centers.
