Eileen Selma Beer, wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother 80, went to be with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on February 7, 2012 at her residence after a short battle with pancreatic cancer. She was born in Fort Wayne on September 22, 1931 to Homer I. and Winifred (Somers) Hile. She graduated from North Side High School and spent several years working at G.E. She was a member of the Forest Park United Methodist church. Eileen was passionate about her family, grandchildren and her beautiful flower gardens. Eileen was always there for her children and grandchildren, and always available and supportive of all they did. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends. Eileen married Wayne Beer on August 29, 1953 at Forrest park United Methodist church and he survives. She is also survived by three sons and a daughter, Gregory W. (Lydia) Beer of Fort Wayne, Michael E. (Stephanie) Beer of Louisville, Timothy L. (Cathy) Beere of Fort Wayne, and Rebecca M. (David) Mervar of Fort Wayne; 15 grandchildren, Andrew (Molaika) Beer, Jason (Cassie) Beer, Amber Beer, Jennifer Beer, Isaac Beer, Daniel Beer, Niki Beere, Hannah Beer, Jasmine Beere, Audree Beere, Nathaniel Mervar, Katelyn Mervar, Christopher Mervar, Sarah Mervar, Isaiah Mervar: 3 great grandchildren, Edmund, Avram and Patrick Beer; and a brother, Leo (RuthAnn) Hile of Fort Wayne. She was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters, Lucille Tappy and Dorothy Gibson, and her brother, E.R. "Tony" Hile. Service is 11:00 am, February 11, 2012, at Forest Park United Methodist Church, 2100 Kentucky Ave with Rev. Brenda Ginder officiating with calling one hour prior, with a meal immediately following the service. Calling at D. O. McComb and Sons Maplewood Park Funeral Home, 4017 Maplecrest Road. Visitation will be Friday, February 10, 2012 2pm to 4pm & 6pm to 8pm. Burial in Highland Park Cemetery.
