I know your in a better place now. Over the last 20 years, we did a lot together. I will always remember your date bread recipe and we will keep up the tradition and make it every Christmas. I will remember how you would agree with me when I was upset with things even when you didn't like what I was saying. We disagreed a lot, but that's what made it fun! We miss you

Elaine, I still can't believe you're gone and that you won't be with us anymore.

You were such a good friend to me for the past couple of years, and we were house-mates for a lot of months and got along really well. I remember your wanting to help me when you first came & I was in such a mess with so much to get rid of, and you pitched right in and tore apart the countless greeting cards I saved so I could give the pictures to my teacher daughter-in-law for her pupils.

We always had a lot of laughs, enjoyed shopping, cards, and t.v. shows, as well as senior trips and Bingo with Gerry, our other Golden Girl...But I never figured out how you always beat me at 500 Rummy--you took that secret with you!

I remember the day you bought some tops and when you got back in the car you saw a cute dress for Rachael in the store window. As you got out, the car door hit you in the forehead, and the next day you had the meanest two black eyes either of us had ever seen!

I learned how you made hardboiled eggs that could be easily peeled, and watched as you crafted the most elegant chocolate trifle cake for Megan's birthday--a true labor of love! And there was always banana bread for the family for the holidays--despite pain, you would do something to make others happy....We will also miss that glint of mischief in your eyes! All I can think about is how much fun we have had together, how when I was crying on my bed you would roll across the floor in your chair, then we would both start laughing! Or how when we went to Publix and you didn't know how to drive the wheel chairs soo I would sit on your lap and drive it for you, but once it died soo I had to push you! Haha That was great. I'm going to get a necklace for you. This way i'll always have you with me. I wish some of your other family would have been here with you for your last years with us. They sure missed out! Guess what?! I'm finally getting up on my own, I haven't been late to school yet.. But I have been close. I do miss you waking me up in the mornings. You were right. Rachael does love her bike, we told her it was from you. I think it makes her love it even more. I know you wanted to be here on her birthday, but its okay.
