Elda Eudora Ryman, 88, of Poplar Bluff died Friday, Nov. 4, 2011 at Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center.
Mrs. Ryman was born Jan. 27, 1923 in Colby, Kans. She was a member of Fellowship General Baptist Church, and was a homemaker. During her early years Mrs. Ryman worked for 20 years as an LPN at Poplar Bluff Hospital and later at Bluff Manor. She enjoyed spending time with her family, having a flower and vegetable garden, baking, doing needlework and watching the St. Louis Cardinals play baseball.
On Nov. 26, 1943, she married Leonard Dale Ryman in Colby, Kans. He preceded her in death on Jan. 4, 1967.
Survivors include her children, Robert Ryman, Leslie David Ryman and wife Kay and James Lloyd Ryman and wife Bonnie all of Poplar Bluff, Glenn Leo Ryman and wife Christine of Essex, Mo., Sandra Kay Mabry and husband Doug, Theresa Jane Kiefer and husband David, Allen Dale Ryman and wife Brenda Kay and Aaron Dean Ryman also all of Poplar Bluff; 18 grandchildren; 24 great grandchildren; sister, Nadine Hockett of Colorado Springs, Colo.; and son-in-law, Don Leiendecker of League City, Tex.
Her parents, Leo and Olive (Bjork) Boyer, and daughters, Cora Louise Leiendecker and Laura Susan Kingery also preceded her in death.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at Cotrell Funeral Chapel. The funeral service will be at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at Fellowship General Baptist Church with Rev. Byron Beck officiating. Burial will be at City Cemetery in Poplar Bluff.
