Sister of Dorothy Bellantoni and her husband Ned of Belmont and the late Felix Guida. Survived by her 10 great grandchildren: Shane, Chad, Josh, Alison, Kyle, Conner, Nathan, Alex, Brian and Jessica. Also survived by Joyce and John Kane of Middletown, NJ, Natalie and Jack Whittamore of Hingham and Dorothy Ajalat of Hamilton many cousins, nieces and nephews. Godmother to the late Jennifer Kane. Ellie was a professionally trained hairdresser, a store detective, worked at Raytheon, spent many years working as a ward secretary at both Mt Auburn and Waltham hospitals, and could outsell anyone with her in-store product demos. She also enjoyed volunteering for WGBH and the Girl Scouts and was very active with the VFW Ladies Auxiliary and Maria Montessori. Both relatives and lifelong friends played an important role in Ellie's life. Ellie was exceedingly generous, had a lively sense of humor and lived a full life. She was always up for an adventure – whether it was sightseeing in Europe and Hawaii with her daughters , going on Space Mountain with her grandchildren, or trips to Foxwoods with her friends. She loved to dance, was an avid gardener, professional crafter, and enjoyed staying current on the events of the day. Ellie retained her driver's license longer than many of her friends and could often be found on joy rides. Her family fondly remembers Christmas Eve dinners and barbeques in Manomet – showcasing her favorite Gus Saunders recipes and cake decorating skills. Some of her favorite times were spent on her porch visiting with both friends and neighbors. Her family is thankful for the expert care that Ellie received from the offices of Dr Wellich and Dr. Shiffman, Monique from Care Group Home Care, her care givers, and of course, her great grandson, Dr. Brian.
