LU - Elena J. Lu passed away December 23, 2011 in Albuquerque, NM. Elena was born in Chungking, China on October 2, 1940. She grew up in Hualien, Taiwan and moved to the United States in 1967. She was the eldest daughter of Karl K. and Siyi K. Chen. She was married on December 21, 1968 to George S. Lu and was his beloved wife for 43 years. She was the cherished mother of Aldrinna and Anne; the treasured grandmother of Nathaniel, Greyson, Kinsey and expected grandson due in March; and kind mother-in-law to Greg Nichols and Zachary Benz. Elena will be forever remembered by her sisters and brothers, Susana, Rosa, Hoover and Thomas and many family members including cousins, nephews and nieces. Elena loved to spend time with her grandchildren and pets, traveling the world and contributing through her volunteer work. She enjoyed visiting and laughing with her many great friends everywhere. Elena's final resting place will be next to her parents at Alta Mesa Cemetery in Palo Alto, CA. She was especially close to her father and mother.
