Elizabeth (Thomas) May December 25, 1928 ~ May 21, 2010 Elizabeth Ann (Thomas) May, 81, of Somerville, passed away Friday, May 21, 2010 at Copperas Hollow Nursing Home in Caldwell. She was born December 25, 1928 in Somerville, the daughter of Sam Dick and Minnie Elizabeth Schoenemann Thomas. She graduated from Somerville High School and attended Blinn Junior College in Brenham. Elizabeth worked as a secretary for the Chrispin Company in Houston for many years. Her real joy was found outdoors where she was always working with her horses or cattle. Elizabeth was a member of First United Methodist Church in Somerville. She was preceded in death by her parents. Survivors include her husband Everett A. May; three brothers and sisters-in-law, Bill and Joyce Thomas of Boerne, Bob and Sandy Thomas of Houston and Clyde and Ruth Thomas of Brenham along with numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives. Family members have requested that in lieu of flowers, memorials be made to First United Methodist Church of Somerville, P. O. Box 276, Somerville, Texas 77879, in Elizabeth's name. Her family honored Elizabeth's wishes to be cremated and a memorial service is scheduled for 1:30 p.m. Thursday, May 27, 2010 at First United Methodist Church located at the corner of 10th Street & Avenue D in Somerville.
