Elizabeth "Ruth" Bender, age 68, of 19237 10B Road, Plymouth, Indiana, passed away at 4:50 a.m., Thursday, March 24, 2011, at Miller's Merry Manor in Plymouth. Ruth was born on September 5, 1942, in Quincy, Illinois, to Kenneth Glenn and Thelma Elizabeth (Hurtzell) Kirkpatrick. On July 3, 1984, Ruth married Lawrence Ray Bender in Marysville, Ohio. Ruth enjoyed being a housewife and a mother. She was also very proud of her doll collection. Ruth is survived by her loving husband of 26 years, Lawrence Ray Bender; her sons, Jackie (Carol) Chapman of Plymouth, Jerry (Theresa) Chapman of South Bend, Indiana, Joe Chapman of Plymouth, and Jimmy (Lisa) Chapman of Plymouth; three step-sons; two step-daughters; four grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; eight step-grandchildren; her brothers, Kenneth Kirkpatrick of Quincy, Donny Bentley, Alvin Bentley, and Billy Bentley all of Fishhook, Illinois; her sisters Mary Ann Henderson of Quincy, Barb Mitchell of Meredosia, Illinois, and Joan Quinn of Fishhook.
