ELIZABETH "BUFFY" MILLETTE

Elizabeth Irene "Buffy" Wood Millette, 89 of Tifton, formerly of Covina, CA, died Thursday, January 26, 2012 in the Tift Regional Medical Center in Tifton.

Funeral services will be held later at the Queen of Heaven Mortuatry in Rowland Heights, CA, with burial following in the Queen of Heaven Cemetery.

The family will receive friends on Friday evening, January 27, 2012, from 7:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. with a rosary service said at 8:00 P.M. in the Chapel of Albritton-Beaumont Funeral Directors.

Born on July 28, 1922 in Minneapolis, Minn. to the late Paul R. and Mary Williams Wood, Mrs. Millette was a longtime, active parishioner at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Covina, Ca. where she enjoyed her work for many years with students in the after school daycare program. She was active in church and community women's organizations, was devoted to caring for friends with long term illnesses, and enjoyed gardening. After moving to Tifton to be with family, she became a member of the Our Divine Saviour Catholic Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Louis Thomas Millette, one grandson, Eric Fredrick, two sisters and two brothers.

Survivors include: three daugters and sons-in-law, Mary and Art Campos of Texas, Nancy and Danny Bernard of Washington, and Paulette and Gary Sims of California; three sons and one daughter-in-law, Stephen and Shirley Millette of Tifton, Ronnie Millette of Arizona, and Paul Millette of California; her grandchildren, Jeffrey Fredrick, Melissa and Brandon Dobson, Vevelia Vampos, Vindi rees, Tami and Erich Thompson, Gregory and Denise Millette, Stephanie and Shannon Dorman, Elizabeth and Abram Holder, and Cassidy Millette; and nine great-grandchildren.
