Elizabeth Ethel Downey Bankston , 94 years old of Hammond, Louisiana, passed away Sunday, May 13, 2012, at her home.
She was born on Saturday, December 1, 1917, in Hammond, Louisiana daughter of the late John and Elizabeth Maher Downey .
Surviving are her daughter Beverly Bankston; son & daughter-in-law Luther "Luke" & Barbara Bankston; son & daughter-in-law Pat & Patsy Bankston; daughter & son-in-law Ileen & Brian Addison;daughter-in-law Cindy Bankston;
16 grandchildren, 27 great grandchildren, 12 great-great grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Luther Louis Bankston and son Charles Hollis Bankston.
Friends will be received Tuesday, May 15, 2012 from 8:00 am until the services begin at 1:00 pm at Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home.
Interment will follow in the Gatlin Cemetery Hammond, Louisiana.
