Elizabeth H. "Betty" Steffen, 92, passed away Saturday, February 5, 2011 at Coventry Meadows in Fort Wayne. Born in Toledo, OH, Elizabeth was a member of Sewing Club for over 50 years. Elizabeth loved her family and cherished all her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Surviving are her son, David (Jan) Steffen of Fort Wayne, daughters, Katherine (Paul David) Schoenle of South Bend, Barbara (Steven) Lowden of Fort Wayne, son Joseph (Mala) Steffen of Noblesville, sister, Janice Villhauer of Denver, CO, 12 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren, and 2 great grandchildren on the way. Elizabeth was preceded in death by parents, Samuel and Martha Hickling, 2 brothers and 2 sisters.
Mass of Christian Resurrection is 2 pm, Wednesday, February 9, 2011 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, 4500 South Fairfield Avenue, Fort Wayne, IN 46807, with calling one hour prior with Fr. Cyril Fernandez officiating. Calling at D.O. McComb and Sons Foster Park Funeral Home, 6301 Fairfield Avenue Tuesday, February 08, 2011 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm & 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm with a Rosary at 7:30 pm.
Memorials may be made to the St. John the Baptist Catholic School Tuition Fund or Masses.
