Elizabeth Irene Tyler Farrow, 73, of Victor Rd., Virginia Beach, VA, went to be with the Lord and her beloved Sidney on August 26, 2011. She passed away in her home surrounded by her loving and devoted family. A native of Roanoke, VA, she was the daughter of the late Harry and Eva Tyler, and the widow of Sidney E. Farrow Jr. She is survived by her children, daughter,. Michele I. Farrow and husband Robert Fuller, of Virginia Beach, VA, sons, Sidney E. "SEF" Farrow III, of Virginia Beach, VA, Ernest W. Farrow Sr., and his wife, Judith Farrow, of Hephzibah GA, Daniel L. Farrow, of Virginia Beach, VA, her cherished Ernest W. Farrow Jr., of Virginia Beach, VA who was another son to her; her sister, Beatrice Shipp, of Virginia Beach, VA; 6 nieces; and 4 nephews. She is predeceased by her parents, husband, and her brothers, Harry "Buck" Tyler Jr., W.J. "Jimmy" Tyler, and George T. "Tommy" Tyler. She had a loving extended family, Cynthia Barbour, and her children, Angel and Gabriela, of Virginia Beach, VA, Mattie Shipp, of Portsmouth, VA, Judy Jacobs, of La Grange, TX, Helen and Sandy Bell, of Virginia Beach, VA, Terry Raymond, of Virginia Beach, VA, Barbara "B.J." Williams, her bingo partner, Michelle Olds, of Virginia Beach, VA; and brothers-in-law, Billy Scripture and wife Belinda and Joe Scripture and wife Pam. She was a passionate and fiercely protective wife, mother, and grandmother. She worked in retail management, and the Prince Georges County, MD and Virginia Beach public school systems. She was an accomplished bowler, and was on many leagues at Plaza Bowl and Thunderbird Lanes. She loved Bingo, NASCAR, and strawberry picking. She attended Princess Anne High School. A funeral service will be held Wednesday at Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Great Neck Chapel, at 2 p.m. 1264 Great Neck Rd., North, Virginia Beach, VA 23454 (757) 496-9727. The family will greet guests one hour prior to the service. Cremation will follow the memorial, there will be no graveside service. Her urn will be interred next to her husband in London Bridge Baptist Church Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to the American Cancer Society.
