Dickerman, Elizabeth "Betty", 89, a resident of Brooklawn for 68 years, died Sunday.


Elizabeth was born in Philadelphia and graduated from West Catholic High School for Girls in 1940. She married in 1943 and moved to Brooklawn. After raising her children, she worked at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital for over 20 years, retiring in 1984. In her retirement, she was a volunteer driver for Meals on Wheels, delivering meals to shut-ins, and was an active member of the Altar and Rosary Society of St. Maurice Church in Brooklawn and the Catholic Daughters of America. She also sang in the St. Maurice choir.


Wife of the late Charles. dear mother of Christopher (Jane) of Glassboro, Margaret Soden of Westville and Mark (Renee) of Brooklawn, with whom she lived. She is also survived by five grandsons; Ryan and Justin (Marykay) of Glassboro, Timothy (Mary) of Swarthmore, PA, Matthew (Jessica) of Woodbury and Jared Soden (Sarah) of Darlaston, England and four granddaughters; Stephanie Soden of Westville, Jessica Kincaid (Ryan), Rachel and Laura all of Brooklawn. and seven great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her five brothers; John, Joseph, Francis, Thomas and David Bunting and two sisters; Mary Cruice and Catherine O'Connor.
