Mrs. Elizabeth Maxine Modesitt, age 82, of Manila, died Thursday at St. Bernards Medical Center in Jonesboro. Born in Thida, Arkansas she was the daughter of the late Jessie Lee and Pherby Isebell Nolan Davidson. She was a lifelong Manila resident and was a member of the First United Methodist Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Mr. Paul Frank Modesitt in 1966, 2 sons, Samuel Lee Modesitt and Paul Dean Modesitt, 2 grandsons, Terry Dean Modesitt and Todd Anthony Edwards, and 4 brothers and 1 sister.
Survivors include;
Her daughter, Shelia Modesitt Williamson of Manila
Her daughter-in-law, Nancy Modesitt of Manila
2 Sisters:
Irene Armstrong of Moses Lake, Washington
Delphie Fudge of Rockford, Illinois
7 Grandchildren:
Samuel Lee Modesitt, JR., Sherry Scoggins, Gary Modesitt, Tim Edwards, Margaret Contreras, Joni Isebell, and Steven Modesitt Byers.
Funeral Services will be 11AM Monday in the Howard Funeral Service Chapel in Manila with Reverend Troy L. Thomas officiating. Burial will follow in the Leachville Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be great-gradsons, Paul Keith Rabey, P.J. Contreras, Wesley Contreras, Seth Edwards, Dennis Isebell, and Larry Dodd. The Family will receive visitors Sunday evening from 6 until 8PM at the funeral home in Manila.
