COLUMBIA - Funeral service for Elizabeth Scott Pruitt, 90, will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday, January 21, 2012, at Dunbar Funeral Home, Devine Street Chapel, with burial in Greenlawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8:00 p.m. Friday, January 20, 2012, at the funeral home.
Mrs. Pruitt, wife of the late Gerald Pruitt, died Sunday, January 15, 2012 in Severna Park, MD. Born in Decatur, Alabama, she was a daughter of the late Charles J. and Minnie Ellis Scott. She was member of First Baptist Church, Columbia. A resident of Heartlands Assisted Living in Severna Park, MD for the past 5 years, Mrs. Pruitt was lovingly cared for by the staff there.
Surviving are sons, Robert (Cheryl) Pruitt of Millersville, Md., Michael (Terri) Pruitt of Belton, S.C., William (Janet) Pruitt of Daphne, AL.; daughter, Ann (William) Forbush of Watertown, Mass.; brother, James (Mary Ann) Scott of Lawrenceville, Ga.; eight grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband, parents, brother, Charles Scott, and sisters, Agnes Clark and Allie Carlton.
