Elizabeth Wills

Liz Wills....a wonderful friend and "sister". We shared so many good times and laughter together as well as sad times. She and her husband, Larry, were great supporters and were always there for me and my daughter, Heather. Their love, concern and prayers sustained us during some very difficult times. I will always be grateful to them for their love and friendship.

I will always be grateful to them for their love and friendship.
Liz and I would sit and laugh together and even took some trips together. I recall her fear of flying. She would hold my arm very tightly during "take off" and "landing" or she would grip the seat arms so tight that her knuckles turned color. I would always joke with her during those times to get her mind of the flight. She was so precious. Even though she did not like flying, she agreed to accompany Heather across the world to Hong Kong. Now that is a real friend!
I moved away from SC a few years ago and have not been able to see the Wills family. We may be miles apart but please know that each one of you are in my thoughts and prayers. Larry, Mike, Shirleen, Mark, Robin, Ken, Meri and the grandchildren...you will always be remembered as dear friends and I wish I could be there with you as this time.
Liz left a wonderful legacy to all of us. I know that she is sitting at the feet of Jesus now and resting in His love and glory. WELCOME HOME MY FRIEND...we will see you again one day.

I may not have known Mrs. Wills, but my life has been enriched by knowing Mr. Wills. My heart is shattered for him, their children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Know that my thoughts, prayers, and positive energy are going out to you all. I look forward to the day when you will be reunited with your loved one.

I first met Mrs. Liz, as I called her, when she taught 3rd grade sunday school at Standing Springs Baptist church in Simpsonville. She told me it only takes one bad apple to ruin the bunch...and the look on her face let me know I didn't want to be the bad apple.

I grew to love Mrs. Liz as she became like a part of my family. We went to New York together when I was a child, as I grew older I babysat her grandchildren, and when I was 14 we went to Hong Kong and Thailand by ourselves. I shall never forget how we stumbled through the Honolulu airport tripping over our luggage determined not to miss our flight to Hong Kong and ultimately collapsed with laughter in the aisles of the plane. Or the way she convinced the cab driver in Bangkok he was over charging us despite the fact he didn't speak a word of English.

Mrs. Liz always supported and loved me and was there when I married my husband David 9 years ago. The air force life has unfortunately taken me out of touch with Mrs. Liz but the memories I shared with her will always hold a special place in my heart.

I love you Mr. Larry and thank you and your family for all you did for me and my family all those years ago.

Our prayers are lifted for comfort. May the peace that transcends all undersatnding be with all of you.

For all of mama Liz's family, and all the rest of us who loved her and were loved by her...may the Lord fill the huge hole that will be left in our lives by her leaving. May God grant that all the wonderful memories we each have of her come rippling in just when we need them for comfort.
