Ellen Dasher, 66, passed to Heaven on June 4, 2011. She fought a courageous battle with glioblastoma for 7.5 years. She is survived by her loving husband, Al Dasher, three children, Meredith Cornwall, Will Dasher and Steve Dasher, four grandchildren, Logan Dasher(12), Alexander Cornwall(10), Riley Dasher(9), and Elizabeth Cornwall(8), all residing in Virginia Beach, VA. She is also survived by two sisters, Lovina Freed(Rockledge, FL) and Jerry Stout(Wichita, KS). Ellen had a career of 23 years at Trans World Airlines as a Flight Attendant. Many of her friends were bridge players, golfers, tennis players, and church goers. Ellen has been a member of Spring Branch Community Church for over 11 years. She participated in numerous volunteer activities at SBCC. A celebration memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, June 7, 2011, at Spring Branch Community Church. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to The Preston Robert Tisch Brain Tumor Center at Duke, DUMC Box 3624, Durham, NC 27710. Condolences may be offered to the family at www.hollomon-brown.com.
