Elvena M Monroe
89, a resident and native of Livingston, LA, she passed away at her home surrounded by her family. She was a member of the Fairest Star Chapter of the Eastern Star. Visitation will be at Livingston United Methodist Church on Friday April 11, 2012 from 6:00pm to 9:00pm, with Eastern Star services at 7:00pm. Visitation will resume at the church on Saturday April 12, 2012 from 10:00am until religious services at the church at 11:00am. Interment will follow in Hiram Stafford Cemetery. She is survived by one son, James I Magee, III; two sisters Christine Arledge and Nellie Sullivan; two grandchildren Judy M Herring and Melissa Whiddon and husband Wesley; four great grandchildren Brittany Herring, Mikala, Madison and Braden Whiddon. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. She is preceded in death by her first husband James I Magee, Jr.; second husband Cecil A Monroe; great grandson Hunter Herring; four brothers Dariel, Edmond, Lester and Presto n McLin; two sisters Serena Lavigne and Lizzie Arledge.
