Mr Elvin Scott

SCOTT Elvin Eugene Scott, a lifelong resident of Mobile, passed this life on earth to his new home in heaven, on February 11, 2011, at home, surrounded by his loving family. Scotty served his country in the U.S. Navy for four years during WWII, and retired after 42 years with the Alabama Power Company. He enjoyed travel, dancing, fishing, and camping. He was 87 years old. Survivors include his wife of 65 years, Madeline Hazel Scott; two sons, Russell (Judy) of Jackson, MS, Lamarr (Markita) of Galveston TX; three daughters, Regina Lau (Joe Baldwin) of Mobile, Lisa (Dave) Moore of Sitka, Alaska and Leslie (Bob) Maycock of Rock Hill, SC; seven grandchildren, and eight great grandchildren; one brother, John (Charlotte), and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends, including a very dear friend Erma Biehl. He is preceded in death by his brother, Russell Aubrey, and his parents, Charles Henry Scott and Julia Ann King. The family will receive friends at St Andrews Episcopal Church at 9:00 am on Tuesday, February 15 followed by the Funeral Service at 10:00am. Interment will be at Pinecrest Cemetery. Reception at St Andrews (1854 Staples Rd Mobile AL 36605) will follow. The family wishes to thank all of the wonderful, friends, church family, and caregivers at Lynwood and Saads Hospice for their kindness throughout Mr. Scott's long illness.
