Emila (Ami) Boles, a resident of Semmes, passed away on November 7, 2011.
Mrs. Boles was born in Nashua, NH on May 26, 1922.
She is survived by her devoted husband of sixty-seven years, Wesley E. Boles; a daughter Helen B. Mann of Mobile and son William W. Boles (Genne) of Telluride, CO; a grandson Kenneth W. Nichols (Ashley) of Mobile and granddaughter Kristin A. Boles of Boulder, CO. Mrs. Boles was a Sales Manager for Ray Miller, Inc. in Fairfield, NJ. After her retirement in 1979, she and her husband spent time between Denmark, ME and Semmes.
Mrs. Boles was a past president of the West Essex Woman's Club of Caldwell, NJ and also served a term on the Board of the New Jersey State Federation of Women's Clubs. She was a member of two Mardi Gras societies and of Maple Grove Grange in Sebago, ME.
The family would like to give special thanks to the nurses and staff at Springhill Memorial Hospital, Odyssey Hospice of Mobile County, and Mobile Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Alzheimer's Foundation of the South, 5644 Girby Road, Mobile, AL 36693.
The Mass of the Christian Burial will Celebrated from Holy Name of Jesus Catholic Church on Snow Rd. on Friday November 11, 2011 at 11 AM.
Visitation will be at Pine Crest Funeral on Thursday from 5 until 7 PM. Interment will be in Pine Crest West Cemetery.
