Emma Herrick Robinson West Haven – Emma Isabell Herrick Robinson passed away Tuesday, August 31st surrounded by her family. Emma was born March 3, 1917 in West Weber, Utah to Joseph Wright and Elizabeth Ellen Hogge Herrick. She grew up in West Weber, attending West Weber Elementary and graduating from Weber High School. She married Leslie W. Robinson November 30, 1940. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Ogden Temple. Emma and Les lived in West Weber and Lindon, moving to Wilson (now West Haven) in 1948, where she resided until her death. She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints where she served in various callings in Sunday School, Primary, Young Women and Relief Society. Emma was an exceptional quilter; she loved her time spent quilting with her friends. She loved writing poetry and verses for all occasions. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. Emma enjoyed time with Les camping, fishing, traveling and many trips to the horse races. She supported her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren in all their activities attending many ball games, dance reviews, rodeos and programs. She is survived by a daughter Judy (Bill) Hodson; a son Kent (Carolyn) Robinson; a daughter-in-law, Kathie Robinson; 9 grandchildren; 18 ½ great-grandchildren; a brother, Roy Herrick; a sister Margaret Smith and numerous nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her husband Les; son Michael; her parents; 2 brothers; 3 sisters and numerous brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law. The family would like to thank Dr. Seth Lewis, Alpine Hospice , Dr. Reis, Fred, Sue, Lorraine, Suze and Andrea for their compassionate care of Emma. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, September 8th at 11:00 am at Myers Ogden Mortuary, 845 Washington Blvd. Family will meet friends at the mortuary Tuesday, evening from 6 to 8 pm and Wednesday from 9:45 to 10:45 am prior to services. Interment West Weber Cemetery.
