Emma L. Kemp, 86, of Galion, died Sunday, Dec. 18, 2011 at Woodside Village Care Center in Mt. Gilead. Born Mar. 17, 1925 in Powhatan Point, Ohio, she was the daughter of the late Fabio and Marie (Gianangeli) Amadio. She married Floyd Kemp on July 20, 1950 who survives. Emma worked for A & P Stores for 30 years and was a member of Retail Clerks International. She also worked for National Jewelers in Galion where she did the engraving. Emma graduated from Powhatan Point High School in Southern Ohio and moved to Galion with her husband in 1950. She was a volunteer with the Galion Community Hospital Auxiliary and enjoyed making ceramics. Surviving are two daughters and one son-in-law, Rita and John Norris of Gambier and Tara Mann of Lexington; five grandchildren, Lisa Ann Norris and her fiancé, Jeffrey A. Hart, Carrie Marie (Rodney) Weikel, Steven Norris, Tina (Jerry) Boyle and Heather Mann; eight great-grandchildren, Jerry, Gracie, Makayla and Logan Boyle, Kayden Mann, Radley Weikel and Trevor and Tyler Hart and one brother, Henry Amadio of Shadyside. She was preceded in death by one brother, Victor Amadio. Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 20, 2011 at Richardson-Davis Funeral Home in Galion where services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 21, with Dr. Rick McCartney officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery in Galion.
