Eric Woll
Eric Edwin Woll, 63, an Annapolis resident for 11 years and formerly of Nassau Bay, TX, died November 9 at home after a 15 month battle with cancer.
He was born December 13, 1947 in Pittsburgh, PA. He attended Lehigh University where he received a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering. He worked as an International Crude Oil Trader and as a Senior Engineer at Exxon Mobil in Fairfax, VA and Houston, TX. His hobbies included woodworking, sailing and gardening.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Elizabeth Woll.
Eric is survived by his father, Charles Edwin Woll of Pittsburgh, PA; his wife of 43 years, Stephanie Woll of Annapolis; his son, Christopher Woll of Austin, TX; his daughters, Amy Gonzalez of Annapolis, and Sarah Shrader of Austin, TX; a sister, Karen Phelan of Rockford, IL; and two grandchildren.
Visitation will be held from 4 to 6 p.m. on Sunday, November 13 at the John M. Taylor Funeral Home, Inc., 147 Duke of Gloucester St., Annapolis. Funeral Services will be held at 10 a.m. on Monday, November 14 at St. Anne's Episcopal Church, 1 Church Circle, Annapolis. Burial will be at St. Anne's Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the brain cancer research of Matthias Holdoff at the John Hopkins Kimmel Cancer Center. Checks may be made to John Hopkins Medicine, and mailed to the John Hopkins Kimmel Cancer Center, 100 North Charles, Suite 234, Baltimore, MD 21201.
