Eric M. Menefee Sr., 42, of Ft. Wayne, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, October 16, 2011. Born in Ft. Wayne on September 4, 1969, Eric worked at Protective Coating. He was a loving and devoted father, husband, uncle and brother. Eric was a hard worker and proud to be a Miami Indian. He is survived by his wife of 18 years, Christine, sons, Blake, Eric Jr., Fred, Dakota Menefee, brother Dick (Rhonda) of Jacksonville, FL, Brian (Barb) of Flower Mound, TX, Wayde, and Glenn (Mindi), Dean (Conella), and Brian (Lori) Gamble, all of Ft. Wayne; sister Lugena (Dave) Platt ; father, Richard (Ann) Menefee of Terra Haute, IN; and a host of nephews, nieces, cousins and in-laws. Eric was preceded in death by his mother Marcella "Muffet." Service is 10am Friday, October 21, 2011 at D.O. McComb and Sons Foster Park Funeral Home, 6301 Fairfield Ave. with visitation one hour prior.
