Mr Erick Mendoza Perez

Erick life was a miracle since the minute he was born, he was a premature baby who only weighed 2.9 oz. His lungs were not fully developed, doctors told us, he may not make it he would forget to breathe, he was connected to an alarm that whenever he would stop breathing would go off, doctors would have to rush to shake him, to get him to start breathing. First time I experienced that I panic, but my baby had a mission and he made it, the first year it was difficult he was constantly getting colds and getting sick, he end up in the hospital once during that year very sick, doctors told us to stay with him because, they said he may not make it trough the night, but he did. After 3 months of his birth he was his normal size, he would always wake up very early, sometimes I would be tired and he would go down his crib, he manage to get out of it and he would stand by my bed and open my eyelids to wake me up, that would always make laugh, or he would go in the kitchen and take every dish from the cabinets. He was a sweet little boy, always kind, he would always hug me and tell me I love you Mommy, Erick and Roger would have awesome times together, they grew up together they would fight and trow things at each other, but could not stay angry for long, Erick was a very smart kid, he would get good grades and the teachers always tell me that he was very smart, but he would be talking and sometimes distract other kids. Unfortunately he did not have a role model to follow and I know he missed the presence of his father, he learn to defend himself and for a while he felt betrayed by his own father. When he become a teenager he was very angry and disappointed even with me, because we had hard times, he made some wrong decisions, we had some hard times but he always overcome problems, he had his own lessons to learn and he did, but even then he was kind to people and he would give what he had for his friends if they needed it. We had difficult times but we also had great times, he went trough a lot in his short life but that did not make him "an amargado" he continue to show love, to every one, and I always dream that one day he would be preaching the word of God in church, talking to people, helping overcome their problems, and I would ask God why now I know that he was, not in the way that I wanted but in his own way, with his actions he touch a lot people and he made a difference in a lot people. I believe he made peace with everyone in our family and with himself. I thank God we where able to talked and forgive, he had no hate in his heart, I believe he went in peace.

I want to thank everyone who has shown support, prayers, words, their presence, stories, and I ENCOURAGE YOU TO CONTINUE DOING IT, PLEASE THAT WILL KEEP "ERICK" ALIVE IN OUR HEARTS. Thanks I will continue to add more to his story and edit it, but it takes time to recolect all the memories.
