Erika Gerta Radford, 86, passed away Thursday evening, January 12, 2012 after a brief illness.

She was born on September 17, 1925 in Berlin, Germany to the late Karl and Else Schlink Schulz.

She was a homemaker and member of Trinity Lutheran Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Max E. Radford and her daughter, Michelle L. Radford.

Surviving are her sons, Max E. Radford, Jr. of Greenville, Army Col. Eric M. Radford, Ret. and his wife, Sally of Aiken; and daughter, Cynthia R. Burgess and her husband, Ronald of Marietta; and her grandchildren, Frances Hurt Holley Radford and Eric M. Radford, Jr.

A memorial service will be Sunday afternoon, January 15, 2012 at 3:00pm at The Mackey Mortuary. Burial will be private.

In lieu of flowers, memorials should be made to Meals on Wheels, 15 Oregon Street, Greenville, SC 29605.
