Erland Sewell Hawkins, age 52, of Chantilly, VA died on December 12, 2013 at Halquist Memorial Inpatient Center, Arlington, VA. He was born on March 10, 1961 in Portland, OR. Erland retired from Delta Air Lines after 23 years of service. He was currently a Customer Service Manager for the TSA at Washington Dulles Airport. He enjoyed his work and the interactions he had with his coworkers who became dear friends. Erland was the beloved husband of 13 years to Anne R. Hawkins, loving and devoted father of Isabella Rose Hawkins of Chantilly VA, Trevor Hawkins of Fort Collins, CO , and Nathan Hawkins of Littleton, CO. Son of Roger and Lorraine Ellis Hawkins, brother of RaNae Olsen, Luana Kreifeldt, Janene Renaud, Lori Councill and Tracey Petersen. Erland was the most incredible husband and father and will be loved forever. He was humble, brave, talented, and strong, with a heart of gold. He always made people feel loved in his presence and had an amazing way of living a grateful life.. Erland was a mighty warrior in Christ. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, January 11th at 11 am at Dynamic Life Praise and Worship Center, 1600 John Marshall Highway, Front Royal, VA 22630. A Memorial Service will also be held in Atlanta , GA, with the date and time to be announced later. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Capital Caring Hospice , Halquist Memorial Inpatient Center, 4715 North 15th Street, Arlington, VA 22205. *** The family request that you write a funny story or your favorite memory of Erland in the guestbook.
