Essie Maxine Lovelace Harper

Born: February 18, 1933, Commerce, TX
Deceased: December 4, 2011, Irving, TX

Our beloved mother peacefully passed away on Sunday, December 4, 2011 around 4:00pm at the Vitas Hospice Care Home. She had fought a long, courageous battle with COPD and was happy and at peace during the last days of her life. Most of her immediate family was able to visit with her and say their goodbyes as was her wish. Although it was a sad day, we all will cherish the gift given to us to be able to say goodbye and know she is no longer suffering.

Maxine Harper was survived by her sister, Tommie Fairless and husband Wade; sister, Nelma Epley; daughter, Marilyn Harper McKay; son, Greg Harper and his wife Pam; son, Scott Harper and his wife Donna; three grandchildren, Kristi Koechel, Dennis Holmes, Jr., and Jennifer Procel; and six great-grandchildren, Dalton, Hunter, Jared, Bethany, Olivia, and Camden; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and grand-dogs and cats.

Family and friends are welcome and encouraged to share your stories during the service. This will be a great tribute to her life and legacy.
