Ester B. Watson, age 90 of Little Rock, Arkansas died Sunday, October 23, 2011. She was born on July 13, 1921 to her late parents J. B. Thomas and Ora Lee Tyson Thomas in Keo, Arkansas. Ester worked for St. Vincent's Medical Center and V. A. Hospital before retirement and was a member of Clayton Chapel Missionary Baptist Church in Sherwood for more than 50 years. In addition, she enjoyed fishing, knitting, pottery and hair dressing.

Survivors include her five children, Nathaniel Givens (Corine) and Shirley Williams both of Little Rock, AR, John Veasey, Jr. (Sherry) of Willimington, NC, David Veasey (Linda) of Alexander, AR, and Charles Veasey of Little Rock, AR; three sisters, Lou Williams and Earlene Blanchard both of Chicago, IL and Mae Lou Tucker of Alexander, AR; one brother Curtis Thomas of Alexander, AR and a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her husband Arthur Watson, one son Willie T. Givens, one sister Ora Mae Johnson and one brother J. B. Thomas, Jr.

Funeral services will be 11:00am Saturday, October 29, 2011 at Clayton Chapel Missionary Baptist Church, 215 Manson Road, Sherwood, AR with the Reverend Dr. John O. Veasey, Jr. officiating. Burial will follow at Pinecrest Memorial Park. A visitation will be Friday, October 28, 2011 from 6:00pm until 8:00pm at Griffin Leggett Healey & Roth Funeral Home, 5800 W. 12th St., Little Rock, AR (501) 661-9111.
